  1. Everybody at a football game is a nobody simply 
  2. by virtue of the fact of their deep involvement in 
  3. an experience simultaneously shared by many 
  4. others. In such a situation, the most famous 
  5. person in the world becomes a nobody. This is a 
  6. structural fact, and when considered in relation to 
  7. our ‚Äúwired planet,‚Äù where everybody is involved in 
  8. everybody‚Äôs experience, this is the overwhelming 
  9. backlash of reduction to non-entity, the creation 
  10. of mass man. The mass man is not the vulgar or 
  11. the stupid or the unthinking man, but anybody 
  12. and everybody who experiences the electric 
  13. situation of instant information.
